Plantar Fasciitis: The Dreaded First Step in The Morning

Everyone loves a good night’s sleep.  But sleep can become restless when you know when you wake up…You will have the dreaded first step of the morning!!  I have heard that story a 1000 times.  It’s a typical symptom of plantar fasciitis.  The first step is excruciating, then each step the pain lessens and by mid-day it’s manageable.

UNTIL…

The next morning when you must take ‘The Dreaded First Step…’

There is nothing worse than foot pain.   Walking becomes unbearable and walking is what us humans were designed to do.  How are you going to get through the day riding on a ‘flat tire?’…a painful ‘flat tire.’  Heel pain is frustrating and can be difficult to resolve.   I know you’ve tried everything all ready...

The first thing you did was searched ‘foot or heel pain’ on Google.
I bet you did this:
  1. Rolled foot on bottle filled with ice
  2. Bought a spiky ball to roll your foot
  3. Bought a new pair of shoes
  4. Went to the doctor who sent you to another doctor who sold you some expensive custom-made orthotics
  5. You went to physical therapy for ultrasound and some toe exercises where you scrunch your toes over and over again. Oh and picked up a lot of marbles.

And you know what…your foot probably does feel better.  The pain is more manageable and the panic with the first step in the morning is less.

But you aren’t going to be going for a hike this weekend and don’t think you will enjoy walking on the beach during your vacation to Hawaii.

It’s frustrating when you have always been so active and now you’re staying home more often.

The question comes up…Why does my foot still hurt?  What caused it to hurt?  Why isn’t it really getting better? And now why is my hip and back hurting?

And I bet that no one that you saw when trying to get help really took the time to figure out the CAUSE behind WHY you are having so much PAIN?

There are a lot of factors behind why the pain hasn’t gone away?

Don’t you think it’s time to invest in someone who is going to look for the CAUSE instead of just treat the SYMPTOMS?

At Body Evolution Physical Therapy & Wellness we love to help people with foot problems.  We know that foot pain impacts the entire body and can keep you from your active, healthy lifestyle.

Let’s find a resolution to your foot pain and get you back to waking up and taking a full stride into your day...PAIN-FREE!!!
